Radio Free Earth Interview
This week I invite my listeners to tune in to my recent interview on Radio Free Earth, covering a range of topics from psychedelics, to politics, to religion. I discuss my life and career, including my experience coming to California during the summer of love (and beyond), as well as my thoughts about the role psychedelics can play in helping humanity at this critical juncture.
The interviewer, Mathieu StGermain, describes his Radio Free Earth program as “a place for humor, love, and a space to offer and discuss new or alternate models to help humanity to preserve and protect our home the Earth, and its life support systems, to live together and to create brilliant health and greater intelligence.” A frequent visitor to Wilbur Hot Springs, Mathieu is a kindred spirit and I’m sure you will enjoy his own musings, as well as my answers to his wide-ranging questions – including the history of how I turned Wilbur Hot Springs into a center for healing addictions, and my thoughts about whether 1960s activism ultimately bore fruit, despite its many setbacks.
Mathieu contacted me after listening to my interview with Tim Scully and Michael Randall – pioneering members of the Brotherhood of Eternal Love(listen to part 1 and part 2) – who produced and distributed much of the LSD in the United States during the 1960s and 70s. That 2-hour-long interview became the first chapter of my forthcoming book, Psychedelic Wisdom (Inner Traditions, Winter 2022).
